REAL WEDDING - BIANCA & JASON

We loved working on the wedding of Bianca Newton & Jason Fraser in March last year, hard to believe it was a year ago (Happy Anniversary to you both for this week!!) Our photos were published in the very lovely Studio Brides issue 47 and now we have put together an extended series of our favourites below to share from their vintage themed wedding day...enjoy..

Bianca at the bridal prep and her incredible dress & Jimmy Choos. Earrings by Chanel
Steven Khalil designed Bianca's stunning 1950's inspired gown. Featuring a strapless fitted bodice with intricate beading in an asymmetrical splash of silver the tulle skirt combined structure structure and haute design with a gentle floating effect.

Grandiflora designed a romantic combination of old-world roses for the bridal bouquets
The couple were inspired with the party scene in the film Sabrina for their wedding theme. The bridesmaids wore classic Dior inspired dresses to compliment the black & white vintage style.

The black Mercedes Benz S Class was provided by Australia in Style
Bianca & Jason's 100 guests assembled at St Mary Magdalene in Rose Bay to celebrate the nuptials in classic silver screen style.

The bridal party photo shoot took place by the water. The grooms suit was tailored by Matthew Lawrence Bespoke & groomsmen were dressed by Peppers Formal Hire

Vaucluse House & the surrounding gardens were the location for the second part of our photo shoot. The couple chose Vaucluse Tearooms for their reception dinner

The vintage theme continued at the reception where the tables were decorated with David Austin, Jude the Obscure & Julia roses in Autumn hues. Mixed with various shades of hydrangeas and surrounded by candlelight the old worldly theme was achieved perfectly

The modern Australian dinner menu was provided by Fresh Catering. The yummy cake was created by Cuisine Patisserie. Bianca & Jason enjoyed their first dance together as husband & wife to the Frank Sinatra classic "Just The Way You Look Tonight"... it was the perfect end to the perfect day and we wish you a lifetime of wonderful memories from the pics we created together...love the SugarLove Team x

Reviva Weddings are featured in WeddingBells, Canada

We are delighted that one of our beautiful weddings, from last year, has been featured, across the waters, in the Canadian Weddingbells Magazine so we thought we would share this moment with you!
According to Joee Wong, the fantastic photographer that Kelly and Wil bought with them all the way from Toronto, the article looks even better in real life.
Kelly and Wil contacted us, not long before their wedding date, and needed help to finalise all the details of their wedding day and someone to style, decorate and oversee their stunning wedding at the Puente Romano Hotel.
It was a challenge, as despite booking the venue, Kelly and Wil had actually not been here, although we then found out Kelly had visited as a child and decided she wanted to get married here :)  Having been together for 7 years and saved up for this special day, we were very excited and honoured to be involved.

Carla set to and finalised all the suppliers, arranged the last few details and organised everything so it all came together and I worked with Kelly to design and style her
wedding day.
The end result was stunning, it was a beautifully hot September day and the emotional ceremony conducted by the delightful Natasha was held on the beach at Puente Romano Hotel followed by a reception at the hotel´s Suite Del Mar.
Kathryn Parr made everyone look gorgeous with her amazing hair and make up talents and Mark at Cake Marbella did us proud with his cupcakes (still have to have words with him about supplying extra though!)

Dramatic Spanish Style For Weddings

As many of our clients wish to incorporate an element of Spain into their weddings here, we are constantly looking for Spanish style inspirations to add touches of Spain's wonderful and dramatic culture into our weddings and parties.

We love this fabulous shoot featured on Wedluxe using a stunning combination of black lace, red roses and golds, it reminds me of the beautiful churches we have here adorned with gold candelabras and candles.

We have been working very hard here this winter and many of our weddings coming up this year have some beautifully designed styling and details.

We have one in Sevilla that is going to be stunning and we will feature sneak peeks as we build up to the big day, our gorgeous vintage fan invitations are winging their way to London as I type :)

We have a Sevillian orange rustic style wedding, fabulous vintage style lace weddings and the rest of our designs are currently well kept secrets as we reveal some stunning new ideas throughout 2012!

Semana Santa in Malaga by Anna Gazda

This weekend in Spain, Easter, the Semana Santa is being celebrated throughout Spain and even if you are not religious it is difficult not to be moved by the processional marches being staged every night this week in most spanish towns and cities.

Year after year each and every village hosts it´s own procession with the costaleros carrying beautifully decorated floats with statues of the Virgin Mary and Jesus on the cross through the towns and cities to celebrate this very sombre occasion.

I always find it rather peaceful watching these processions and very emotional but remember as a child being terrified by the costumes of the Nazarenos, they look a bit like the Klu Klutz Klan and remember when I was about 8 years old in Marbella, one jumping out at us and my sister being really quite frightened!

To allow us to share a bit of this weekend in Spain with you, we would like to share these fabulous images from Anna Gazda, one of our favourite wedding photographers, who has now decamped and set up shop, well home! in Malaga and sent these images to me tonight after me nagging her ;)

I was awestruck, as I always am with Anna´s photos, and although this is not wedding related it is Spain related!

know many of our readers, particuarly from the US like to see what we get up to and as well as organising an Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow morning for Twinks, all of us here in wedding world are constantly being creative and keeping busy!

Reviva, however were not engaging in these religious ceremonies today as for one I have man flu and two we were organising and decorating a fabulous party today for a 60th birthday.  My thanks to my fantastic team who over the last few days I could not have done without, chocolate bunnies are on their way :)

Last, but not least, I would also like to say that my journey creating and developing my business has allowed me to meet so many hugely talented and lovely people, both suppliers and clients :)

Wishing you all a lovely Easter weekend x

If you would like to see more fabulous photos from Anna of the Easter processions in Malaga please do hope over and visit Anna´s blog.
