Glamorous Glittery Pumpkins for Halloween!

Twig & Thistle
Found on Pinterest

As we approach that spooky time of year I cannot say I am a huge lover of all things spooky and ghoulish but these glittery pumpkins are much more up my street :)

A bit of glitter and glamour goes a long way in our house so this is
our Halloween project next week which I know will appeal hugely to Twinks and I love the fact that we can turn them into candle holders.

Slightly more appealing than screaming witches and ghouls don´t you think!

If any of our clients are planning a dark, spooky ghoulish night do remember we can supply dramatic black satin chair covers, orange sashes, black linens and of course glittery pumpkins!

Spooky Inspirations!

I love this time of year, not only because it is my birthday, but when I lived in the UK, it was a magical time of year for me and the girls.

Witches and ghosts, nights getting darker, the clocks changing, kicking through leaves on wonderful autumnal walks and the beginning of the lead up to Christmas.

October is all about celebrating the harvest, thanksgiving for the Americans and the winter setting in.  A truly lovely time to reflect on the year, get ready for the festive season and start to think about decorating the house.

I have done some deep cleaning of my house this past week and goodness did it need it after our busy wedding season, but now we are planning on a pumpkin carving day tomorrow with my daughters and enjoying a trick and treat filled weekend with lots of spooky dinners and activities!!

I love these photos above of inspirations for decorating the house, it is so easy to buy horrible tacky plastic things, but to use leaves, pumpkins (by the way available here from Supersol!) and little details such as black candles, coloured table linens, lots of oranges and blacks makes a stylish Halloween theme in any house.

OK I confess I have pumpkin fairy lights over my mirror in the dining area plus my wonderful Whittards of Chelsea ceramic pumpkin and ghost candle holders as well, but we will be beautifully decorated for our spooky weekend by tomorrrow evening!!

If anyone is planning a spooky themed night we do have black table linens, black chair covers and lots of orange sashes!  A fair amount is going out this weekend for spooky dinner parties but if you are looking for something different contact us!

Happy haunting to you all and hope you have a lovely weekend!

Calling all vampire lovers!

As Twilight and True Blood are hugely popular and the latest rage and of course it is Halloween, we found this fabulous board on It's a Jaime Thing for a vampire style wedding!
Deep reds and blacks, truly goth, and how about some ghoulish cupcakes thrown in!

Vampire Chic for Weddings and Parties

This red and black wedding is perfect for a Gothic celebration and we love the spanish style cake.
The table names are in elaborate ornate blackframes with the names Dracula in this image, I can imagine, with all the vampire hype at the moment, of all the other table name possibilities you could come up with! Twilight springs to mind of course!
A vampire themed night would be amazing, getting away from the usual pumpkins with the orange and black theme, this theme would be far more stylish for a Halloween soiree. Image found on www.swankytablesblog.com

Halloween wedding inspiration

If you thought a Halloween wedding theme would be tacky, think again, we found this fabulous inspiration board on www.banquetevent.com. With a black and white palette and touches of orange, this theme really does have the spooky wow factor, we love the orange and black candlelabras and those lanterns with the pumpkins in.

Gothic style wedding at Tikitano Beach Restaurant

We loved creating this fabulous slightly gothic wedding at the beautiful Tikitano beach restaurant in September, with a stylish deep red and crystal theme.
Gemma was quite clear from day one what she wanted to achieve and apparently the groom, Adam, was allergic to orchids! A no goer then!
We had already twigged that Gemma loved the elegant gothic look so created her bouquet with black leaves and dark red roses, her scheme was deep red table linens covered with crystals, we decorated her chuppah with coordinating flowers that were moved to the biggest top table this year we have ever seen, I think there were over 20 people on it in the end. The napkins were tied with deep red ribbons and decorated with a crystal detail.
Our thanks to Scarlett as always at Tikitano for always making us feel so welcome and to Gemma and Adam's families for allowing us to decorate their special day, and of course to Scott who I am sure has involved us in every wonderful Jewish Wedding in Marbella this year and to David Toms for allowing us to publish these fab photos!

Gothic Weddings

As we approach the Halloween and All Saints Day, it is always very different here in Spain feeling ghoulish as the sun is shining! However we are going to find lots of wonderful web inspiration to put some gothic ideas together for weddings and our first post this week is the wonderfully vampish inspiration board we have found on Get Married.
We are also hoping to be able to feature one of our gothic inspired weddings we created this year at the fabulous Tikitano Beach Restaurant.

Sadly here the wedding season here dies in the winter, as we are a sunshine destination wedding area, madness really as the weather here throughout October has been beautiful, but a lottery as always planning a wedding out of guaranteed sun and heat season!
