Valentines Glam and Glitter

I love this gorgeous glittery Valentines shoot by Forget Me Knot Weddings and Sitting in a Tree Events, so girly and fun with lots of glitter, mini meringues and cupcakes, what more could a girl ask for apart from flowers and shoes of course ;)
This setting would be perfect for a bridal shower, birthday party for a girlfriend or just a good excuse for a bit of girly glamour.

A Delightful Wedding at Villa Padierna Hotel

Nothing says Summer in Spain such as a bright fuchsia colour scheme for a wedding.

Fuchsia is perfect for a bright sunny outdoor Mediterranean wedding theme and reflects the colours of the local surrounding flowers from the brightly coloured bouganvilla to the vibrant hibiscus.

The original colour scheme we were creating with Alice as we designed her wedding was a deep crimson red, but this changed after the bridesmaids dresses were chosen.  When you see the photos you will know why!

One of my favorite colours combos is the red and hot pinks, this can look truly stunning, we sneaked some reds into Alice's wedding with the hearts :)

This wedding was set in the glorious Ritz Carlton Villa Padierna Hotel and with so many details packed into one day we could not wait to share this wedding with you.
(Photo nagger again I am afraid!)

On a magical September evening, Alice made her way down the aisle with her mother and our bride and groom had a beautiful ceremony in the Amphitheatre of this regal hotel, under a stunning gazebo.  We dressed the gazebo with a host of gorgeous flowers in various shades of pinks using star gazers, roses, and some huge, fat pale pink hydrangeas which were to die for.  The aisle was dressed with glittering white tulles and floral pew ends and hot pink petals were scattered down the aisle.

We created personalised white fans with deep pink ribbons and ivory paper rose details to keep the guests cool and commandered two nice ushers to hand over the confetti bombs to! :)

Alice had a fuchsia rose handtie for her bouquet which complimented beautifully with her bridesmaids who had dolce vita rose handties.  The buttonholes were also a single dolce vita rose which is a durable rose and quite large, surviving the spanish heat well and rarely wilts after hours in heat.

The elegant reception was set out on the Linares Terrace.
We dressed the chairs with white satin loose style covers and fuchsia sashes, the napkins were tied with beautiful satin pink ribbon and decorated with an ivory paper rose.  The details were stunning and just enough to set off the crisp white tables.   We had some gorgeous red hearts in our shop that Alice fell in love with, so we bought these to decorate the surrounding trees at the reception.

The centrepieces were our romantic hurricane style glassware surrounded with a flurry of white hydrangeas and dolce vita roses, set on mirrors with surrounding tealights, simple but luxuriously divine.

As the evening fell onto this fabulous reception we had added some more lanterns and candles onto the terrace, using luminieres, hanging lanterns, large wax cylinder candles in groups and fairy lights to add a truly romantic glow to the night.

Mark from Cake Marbella casually wandered past us yet again setting up his gorgeous chocolate cupcakes, and yet again had not bought spares!  It is pure torture as they are by far the best cupcakes in the world but we move on!

Our thanks to Heather at Fiestasol, who had recommended us to Alice and planned this wedding to perfection, again a huge hug to Jeremy and Jenny for these wonderful photos, and another huge hug to the beautiful Alice, a fabulously happy and radiant bride.

We were delighted to share Alice's beautiful day and when Heather told us Alice was desperate to have one of our red hearts as mementoe, we jumped at the chance to send her one as it is so lovely to present our brides with such special memories of their weddings.

Our Trash The Dress Wedding!

I fell in love with this couple as soon as I met them!  They had that twinkle in their eyes, were fun and I just knew their wedding was going to be different from the fact that everyone was wearing flip flops, including our lovely bride (I was impressed with this and was sold!),  to the magical sky lanterns later in the night.

Daniele and Mike from California wanted to have a small and intimate family wedding here in Spain.  They had already done some research and booked the villa and the fabulous Cornel Catering Team for their wedding and wanted someone to tie up the loose ends and for us to be there on the day, plus of course decorate and style their wedding, Mike is a designer so they knew exactly what they wanted which is always easier.

With a hot pink and touch of lime theme in place, Carla was on hand to recommend and book all their other suppliers and to coordinate the wedding so that it was all ready for their arrival.  We were all looking forward to this day in July when they would fly over from the States to celebrate their marriage here in Spain.

In order to design the hot pink and touch of lime look, we created some fabulous bridal flowers, using dolce vita and hot pink roses for Daniele's bouquet and hot pink gerberas for the bridesmaids.

We dressed the chairs with fuchsia sashes, provided an arch and much needed parasols and paddle fans for the ceremony.  Using our pale green and white table linens added a more relaxed, romantic feel to the tables with white Moroccan style candles and scattered pink bouganvilla completed a very simple but elegant and pretty style.

Pink, silver and white lanterns were hung in the gazebo area above the tables and we decorated the pool area with lots of candles and lanterns and some white and pink lanterns in the archways by the pool.

What a day it was, it was a beautifully hot Mediterranean afternoon and evening, lots of lovely cocktails being made up courtesy of their obviously well trained guests!, wonderful hair and make up, fabulous food from Cornel and a great crowd, least of all the lovely cupcakes and American baseball groom's cake made with a combined effort of Mark at Cake Marbella and our lovely Fi.

I do have a confession to Mike and Daniele I scoffed one of the lovely cupcakes :)!  I can never resist Mark's Red Velvet :)

Here are some fabulous photos taken by their friend April, a professional photographer in the States who had some awesome cameras with her.

The day ended with a Trash the Dress!   Most of the wedding party ended up jumping into the pool :)  Fabulous day guys and thank you for sharing these wonderful photos with us :)  Amazingly the dress survived albeit Daniele had already written it off!!!

Quick update!

We have been in a wedding whirlwind these past few weeks with many fabulous weddings that we hope to post on here throughout the winter as we receive the photos from the amazing photographers that have been involved.

We have been promised so we watch and wait, we so hope we will receive some as we have created so many fabulous weddings but sadly do not have the photos, although it is my plan to email all our brides this year and get them to send me their favourites.

I have been really naughty though and stolen some photos from a wedding we created yesterday.  Mark from Cake Marbella has taken some delightful photos to give you a brief insight in our wedding we created at the elegant Villa Padierna hotel and we have stolen them for our blog :)!

Yesterday's wedding was a beautiful wedding with a last minute change from red and white to pink and white due to the bridesmaids dresses changing.

We created a fabulous ceremony area in the amphitheatre which is a stunning setting, with our new rather impressive gazebo, aisle dressing and pew ends.

In the main area on the Linares terrace we dressed the chairs with covers and sashes, beautiful pink and white centrepieces on mirrors with lots of tealights with pink crystals and white candles to compliment the scheme plus scattered the tables with crystals to finish it off.

We also decorated the napkins with pink ribbons and white paper roses to add a touch of glamour and colour to the tables and created the table seating plans to match along with table names, then lots of candles, petals and red love hearts tied with pink ribbons hanging on the trees to finish the romantic setting off.

We heard from Heather today to say the bride was delighted with the decorations and flowers :)

Jeremy and Jenny were the photographers for the day so we are hugely excited to see the real pro photos, no offence Mark :)!!!

Sadly Mark did not have any extra cupcakes so had to do with a caramel bar late last night instead!

Pink themes for Christmas weddings

Having a Christmas wedding but still love pink, here are two fabulous inspiration boards from Snippet and Ink and Brendas Wedding Blog. We love the use of pink poinsiettas with the silver baubles to create a truly festive romantic theme.
